Power distributor block / extension lead

Post by Maciej »

Hi All,

I am looking for better quality than widely available power block / extension lead with 6 or 8 UK outlets.
Let me know if you have something decent laying around and would like to sell.

Thank you

I bought (years ago pre Brexit) from Olson

Got a 6 way metal distribution board.

Quite happy with it.

No idea what the situation is post Brexit

I understand Olson is not hifi but industrial

years ago I decided to go for the DIY route and made a couple of extension leads with solid core wires and star connections. I simply used good quality industrial components.

Looks impressive.

All my power cables are UK, and I was always thinking to get rid of them, and replace with Schuko version. Only to run UK power cable from the wall socket to Schuko power distributor block, and then use Schuko cables to each device.
Schuko plugs do not have a fuses like UK plugs. I do not see much point of using additional fuse if your equipment has already a fuse in the power inlet socket.
