I have to admit I've never tried one, I'd be more afraid of what it would leave on the surface than what it would lift out! A good anti-static brush would be a safer bet.

I'd use this before I'd buy that

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CP1A6H4/ ... 8f44a51c10

The other option is the spin clean or one of its variants, but the money is a good bit higher

After that you're into either wet vacuum or ultrasonic machines at much more money and hassle again

Thanks for the responses ..

I have just got my record deck working again (Linn-Axis) and I have a number of second-hand (charity shop) LP's I would like to clean. I am happy to risk damaging them but not doing something that would damage the needle (Its an Ortofon MC-15 Super-II moving-coil).

I think the Tonar is a copy of ... the Nagaoka record cleaner ..

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nagaoka-CL- ... 1&sr=8-1

I have also seen people suggesting cleaning records by coating them with Resin-W (or similar) and then peeling it off ..

I really wouldnt try the wood glue thing, not on records i liked any way!

I have a record cleaning machine if you want to get them cleaned, I'm in Dublin 6. Get you started anyway!

Thanks for the offer. Much appreciated. I won't take you up on it for the moment.

Here is a link to the glue cleaning option ...
