Lovely recording of some great material! How big does the choir sound and how well does it balance with orchestra?

Just discovered this one! Wow the sound is huge! Pure 3D audio!

I just love the music and know it really well. "In The South" is a great piece!

This should sound organic and revealing! Lovely recording!

Thanks to Derek, who told me to buy this at my first HiFi show many years ago now. Very 3D and great sounding voice!

There are many more but these are just a few I can think off right now...
Great thread! Always interesting to hear what other people use when testing new equipment.... :)

Wrecking Ball is one of my favourites.
Emmylou followed this with Red Dirt Girl, superb production also, and then Stumble into Grace which has mostly her own compositions - Excellent !

If you get a chance to hear her sing John Hiatt's "Icy Blue Heart" grab it !

Brilliant Ivor.

Lucky that your "public service remit" is private. Otherwise the 2 Brianies are gunning for you in the 4 year plan.
Remind us please. What time ? What wavelength ?

It's Community Radio Gerry, it could be wiped out in a few months. Anyhoo we're on 93.9fm in South Dublin or through http://www.dublinsouthfm.ie on the web. 9 - 11pm, I'd expect the Emmylou and similar to air around 10:15.

Jeez, hope not. We're enjoying the show here. Impressed by the range.
Got a kick out of the mention on air. Great timekeeping too.
Cheers. Gerry

Glad you enjoyed it.

My fear is that we'd lose the funding for our 4 staff and 4 FAS guys. If it was purely voluntary I don't think we'd keep up 12 hours a day or the standard we've reached. We'll see.
