All the Gabrieli Consort Christmas albums are essential dear Fergus, I think this is what McCreesh does best, but the Praetorius is the finest, with that AWESOME In Dulci Jubilo sung by some 600 people.
By the way I warmly recommend the Dandrieu above Fergus, Greta de Reyghere was (or is?) a glorious soprano. She appeared in most of the Ricercar Baroque Cantatas series recorded in over 20 years, she is a true, full, lovely soprano. Magnificent album!!!!

Thank you for the recommendation Pepe; another one for the List so. I think that I will have to start sending you my Visa bills in 2015 LOL!!!!Jose Echenique wrote: By the way I warmly recommend the Dandrieu above Fergus, Greta de Reyghere was (or is?) a glorious soprano. Palestrina with a children choir, as it should be.

I have two different versions of that work Pepe, one of which I played today and will post on the Listening thread. Neither of those versions has a children's choir.
