in my opinion, if you can bear the bad treble tune, 2.82 has the best piano on earth.
one can totally tell how the pianist presses each note.
finger drop, press, flow, body, weight. all real+live. exactly it is.
maybe not hifi quality. music quality is beyond.
no software comes close, apart from certain mqn versions.

MQn must be getting good if JC is resorting to this kind of misdirection.

Don't agree with JC at all on this one, but each can make up his own mind.

BTW vinyl type of sound is no target to aim for.

Cheers

R2.82 sse2 + avx (don't get confused), down to 6kb, hopefully more of everything for everyone. Guarantee you won't hear another player that sounds like this.

The only thing left to do would be to break the wasapi code down to c or change to kernel streaming.

2.82 is a richer experience so might suit. Very tuneful and detailed.

Can't find the right words to describe how good is 2.82! Music is everywhere.

wow...!

R2.82 avx + R1.6 = old mqn.exe2.82

old mqn.exe2.82 has longer duration in notes.
overall musicality is the same.
R2.82 is higher res! more aggressive. more forward sounding
old mqn.exe2.82 is more lay back and natural.

only wish R2.82 can have as much depth in vocal/notes...

still prefer old mqn.exe2.82.

(with all new versions, doesn't anyone else think there is strain in music? takes a few mins to detect with headphones. with speakers, 30 mins is needed to strain my ears to rest)

R2.83 > R2.82
more natural

actually, R2.83 is the best of all R2.X?!

strain seems much much less in R2.83

micro-details is very refined.
rich airy transparent sound supported by clean bass!
while texture seems kept to a decent level

emotion is as good as 100000

if possible, vocal depth needs +1%
