DIY Quad Stands - moved from classifieds

I have a good example of the Cambridge a&r a60 integrated, black wooden sleeve, phonostage, din inputs, in great nick, sounds superb, all pots quiet, no
crackling. Looking to trade it. Ideally I'd love to get my esl57s off the ground and up on some stands, so if someone wants to make me a set I'd be very happy...Here are some examples ;-)

Hi David Am I reading this ad right. Do you have the 3 pieces of timber pictured and want 2 more sets like it? If so I could try make reaonably good copies from them. Would be afraid to use the original as a template in case the router takes a chunk out of it. I have no phonostage so one would be useful. Of course that would mean I need a good deck, uh maybe this isnt a good idea. See how you get on here as it wouldnt surprise me if some of the forum members have production facilities to run up a 1000 versions of what you want.

Quad Gmbh sell these stands for €500+ not including postage!!

Those ones seem to tilt the speakers back slightly - less than the original, but certainly more tipped back than mine. There seems to be 2 preferences on this....

I like the idea of the side braces extending to the floor though - should make it very sturdy I think.

As far as I know, Dowser wants some system like this too.

David, do you have drawings for these? If you did, it might not be a big deal to get a run of them made by CNC. I've used a guy local to me some time back for speakers and it worked out very cheap. I would be happy enough to organise it.... most likely would be baltic birch ply though, not the maple that is in the pics. Ply might be a better option anyway.

I managed to make a template of the speaker stands using my esl upended on it's side, I have given the stands a 25cm lift off the floor, so from floor to top of speaker is 95cm(I had thought that spike could be mounted for further lift). The angle of the back leg is tricky(for me) to work out, but I've made a stab at it. Problem is I have a drawing to scale of legs, should I scrunch it up and shove it in the computer? :-)
