Where's the best place to get photos printed?

Post by Diapason »

We generally get stuff printed using photobox.ie, but I'm not sure they're at the upper echelons of image quality. Any other suggestions?

360dpi in Dun Laoighaire might suit you sir?

Steve Crozier is the guys name, he can print it any which way you want and good quality too. A good nubmer of the photo clubs use him for their competitions etc.

If you want really high gloss, photech.co.uk can do a recreation of a cibachrome print which gives a very high almost wet look gloss. Beware though, its for framing behind glass right away and you need to be very careful handling it.

Thank you Fran. I haven't the first clue what way I actually WANT things printed, but 360dpi certainly sounds like a good place to start.

Hand Imaging in Mullingar are tops. Philip or John will sort out any photo printing issues you have.

Yes, and Tony Murray in Naas is also excellent... but maybe a bit mroe out of your way.

BTW, I got an "aluminium" print done here from photobox and it turned out really really well. Landscape only I think....

Think I'll start with dpi, although I must admit I haven't caught the dart in quite some time...

Peppercanister is within spitting distance of my office, so that's good to know too.
