I absolutely love this album. You'd think I'd favour a smaller, more intimate approach to this music, but these performances are unashamedly large scale. If the crescendo in the Duruflé Sanctus doesn't raise a goosebump then there's no hope for you!

I don't think anyone can say the the LvB Oratorio is top notch repertoire.
The Rameau is admittedly hard work... I've heard it 3 times through now, but its a slightly different soundworld and its never going to make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. Its overly long for me, and doesn't really hold my attention.
