Re: Soekris Dam Dac
i am just returning to my shelved 1121 project. I put it on hold early last year in the hope that Nigel was going to attack his and give us mere mortals a guide on what to do but alas this has not happened. Has anyone modified one yet, on the lines of the mods made to the 1021? I'm comfortable with ...

Re: Soekris Dam Dac
i know development on this thread has mostly died (maybe all threads/forums) but i stumbled across some of these i got a while back to provide a differential clock signal for the dam for those of us that think the stock adjustable clock is probably not a great idea..... I have been holding off from...

Re: Soekris Dam Dac
smaller than i thought Mine is wired up with basic supply and has been running in for the last few days. Waiting to see what Nigel does before I start modding! I really don't want to trash this one. Interested to know where Nigel finds are the optimal points to inject the battery power supplies and...

Its almost as if there is a 'mute' switch on! I must have damaged something, but all the voltages check ok, the FPGA ...

Re: Soekris Dam Dac
Just worked out that U39 is the RS232 transmitter, so probably not the cause of my issue and no doubt working correctly as I am able to communicate with uManager.

Re: Soekris Dam Dac
@val33 any luck? Yes and no, mostly no. I eventually found a minute stray ball of solder caught in the legs of U39. Removing this has got uManager working again. I have reloaded the software and have full communication with the DAM, but still no output. I get flashing LED on startup and it goes sol...

Was that Q3 and Q4?
I'll try removing them tomorrow, but it was working well before I pulled the isolators.

Re: Soekris Dam Dac
That is with the leads disconnected, DAC off
with the power on and signal in, 0.64 kOhm
