Was that Q3 and Q4?

I'll try removing them tomorrow, but it was working well before I pulled the isolators.

yes but they are opening on signal?
I think when i removed the 4v regs mine stopped opening

seems weird
if i2s wasnt right dam wouldnt lock
if st chip was fried led wouldnt blink on startup
there is signal on the fpga caps during playback

would nearly suggest dam is ok
but no sound

Interesting... I first thought it was going to be a new R2R setup! I guess their firewall thingees must be pretty pricey to get it up above $5k US based on the Soekris board!

But yours is definitely not as pretty as theirs!

The 'firewire yokes' was based on their comment 'This ladder DAC is turbocharged with no less than 12 directly integrated newest generation Firewall modules. These condition both the AC power as well as all DC supplies throughout the unit. The results are no less than phenomenal.'

I haven't spent any time looking for more information on what they are doing with that yet, but I generally like their basic overall philosophies and check out their Firewall stuffs soon. I'm sure it is interesting, but I suspect there isn't much concrete info about them out in the world.

And I am still not seeing $5k in there!

Their power isolators were reviewed at 6MOONS.

All kinds of extraordinary claims are made.

I would think one could safely assume they are not better than the isolation given by the batteries but one can understand that few are willing to market a product with batteries.

I think LESSLOSS has no fear of overpricing their boxes.

I do approve of the wooden box, though. If one has to put the stuff in a box ... I would use balsa.

When I first saw the pictures, my first thought was that you bought this box on ebay and start to fit your DAC in! lol
