Note that Tir Na HiFi does not take any responsibility for transactions arranged or carried out here. It is up to the seller and buyer to check each other out! Please be sensible folks, and if there is something you think is wrong, let a mod know, OK?

To make it as clear as we can, here are some simple guidelines:

a) like any forum, the success of tirnahifi is entirely dependent on discussion. All members are encouraged to participate in discussion of music, hifi, etc.
b) tirnahifi is not designed to be, nor intended to be, a marketplace. Any member who uses the site merely for selling will be looked on suspiciously.
c) those members who choose to sell on the site should be aware that the mods do keep an eye on the stuff for sale, plus the demeanour of the seller. Sometimes we may lock/delete/ban a sales thread on this basis.
d) honesty is paramount in all selling transactions. Commercial sellers who label themselves as such are accepted at the discretion of the moderating team.
e) All ads have to include information about age, price, provenance, etc.
f) THE MODERATING TEAM RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY ADS AT THEIR DISCRETION.
g) Commercial sellers should approach any of the moderation team in advance of posting. First time commercial posts without moderator contact will be removed.

High End Hi-Fi repairs

Post by hifikeith »

Hi guys,

Nice site haven't came across it before. Some real audiophiles on here, kudos on the pieces of kit you've accumulated.

Not sure if the Mods will allow me to, and if they choose to delete this post so be it, but I would just like users of the site to be aware of our repair centre in Blanchardstown, we've been on the go for many years and were originally in Capel St, we certainly have noticed the number of other repair shops that are no longer available and the amount of manufacturers that have decided to have a service centre in the UK only!

If you have pieces that are gathering dust we'd love to help you get them back up and running. We do get some interesting pieces in. In the last couple of weeks we've had a Nakamichi CD player, Mark Levinson amp and a beautiful Cyrus III

Like I say I wont be spamming loads I just thought if there are people looking for a repair centre in Dublin we'd love to help.

Thanks
Keith

Hi Keith,
I used you guys a few times when you were in Capel Street, never a complaint!

I think we're glad of the "heads up" to be honest, there aren't enough good repair shops around.
Welcome on board,
Ivor

Yes, good to know of a place like yours....

Can you give a few more details on the kind of stuff you repair, eg do you do valve stuff, solid state, replacement mechanism for CD players etc etc etc.

Would be good to have a reference around

Do or do not, there is no try
