Post by cybot »

Just thought I'd start this new topic! Your favourite Lp/CD sleeves covering any genre.Try and pick something that really stands out from the usual....

Anyway here's my first one from the iconic ECM label....

Nice idea for a thread! Here's one of mine:

Not that I own it or even like the music, you understand. But it's a great image!

One of many great Bowie album covers.
They were all stylistically so influential on the contemps.
Like the music was, I guess ... another favourite Bowie cover of mine is The Lodger. Last in the Berlin trilogy, if you like.

Google David Bowie album art and I bet you will be pleasantly reminded of times in your life.

I had every Bowie album on vinyl, bought upon release from Young Americans, '76, onwards up until Let'sDance, '83,Caught up on the previous stuff and some great imports too.
Then, during a"phase" in my life, I left them with somebody to mind for me. Silly Sod doesn't know what happened to them. Rat Fink !

I think I cooled it with DB for a while after going to Milton Keynes Bowl in '83 or '84 to see him live. Serious Moonlight Tour. Thought it was absolute shite.
1st ever "mega gig" I went to. And the last.
Up 'til then it was the Stadium, McGonagles, The Magnet, The Top Hat, The Telly Club, The Dandelion Market for DC Nien gigs.
Drat ! What's the place off the NCR ? Saw the Clash and ABC there. No, not on the same bill ! ABC was a dress to impress a night for me. Paid off too.
Those were the days.
Funny how music transports us in time. Huh ?

These are the days.
Cheers,
Gerry
