Interesting tracks in albums

Post by Rocker »

My music listening pattern has changed over the past few years. I used to listen to favourite tracks and would end up with a dozen or more CDs littered about the music room each evening. Now I tend to listen to the full album and several tracks, that I had considered fillers a few years ago, are a bit more interesting than I thought.

Take the Tracy Chapman album of the same name, the track 'WHY?' as an example. Or the Eagles 'On the Border' track from The Complete Greatest Hits. These are not audiophile quality recordings, some nice harmonies and/or double tracking - lifts them above the rest, the discover of which makes you glad that your sytem is capable of resolving this kind of detail.

Nice when you discover something new on a disk you have had for a long time.

Would you like to share your unexpected finds?

For years now, probably since 80's when CD's arrived, typically I would play vinyl through from track 1, side 1, I have found that track no. 8 on most albums is a goody ! :)
Spooky.
