I have a Croft Series 3R OTL amplifier manufactured by the late Glenn Croft (R.I.P.).
This amplifier was recommended to me by Glenn for my Quad 57s (see my other post in the classifieds forum regarding my adventures with Quad 57s.)
This amp was serviced locally in 2020 and is in perfect working condition. (Fun fact: my amp technician, who has done a number of repairs/recaps for me over the years, threatened to keep this Croft OTL because of how good it sounded, particularly the crystalline highs.) I am not sure how old this amplifier is, but Glenn confirmed to me that he had not made any OTL amps since the early 2000's, so it is at least that old.
I might also be able to locate a spare set of the (numerous) output tubes somewhere.
PM me if you are interested. I can provide more details/photos if you want.
I have half a mind to keep this piece because of how rare it is, how well it mates with Quads and other compatible speakers, how this amplifier is destined to become a museum piece when the EU bans valve technology (like incandescent light bulbs), and also because I just like how it looks. But I have at least half a dozen other amplifiers that I use with my Quads and other speakers, and I am thinking that someone might enjoy this more.
I would be looking to sell this amplifier for EUR 1500 or so. If I cannot locate the spare set of output tubes, I would sell for EUR 1300.
