I know we have a few electronics experts on the forum and thought you might be able to direct or advise me.
We have an automatic, retractable attic ladder stairs. Installed many years ago. Operated by a remote control.
It has stopped working, stuck in the open position. Fault may have coincided with a serious power cut. So could be as simple as a damaged capacitor. No physical sign of burning on the board -below pic.
Does anyone know of someone who could look at the circuit boards of the control unit. Pic below. I think problem must be there rather than the motor unit of the stairs. Yes, batteries changed on the remote control, lights working! Finding it impossible to locate anyone to do it. An electrician did check power etc but did not have expertise to look further.
If you have a name would appreciate it and I can follow up. I live in Dublin.
Thanks
Conor
