Wanted : Refined mature sounding standmounters

Post by warrenduffy »

Looking for a pair of civilised standmounters with a mature and refined 'unboosted' presentation for classical/opera, similar to Vienna acoustics.
Ideally something with an original retail price between 1K and 2K.

PM me if you're thinking of selling something,

Thanks,
Warren.

I remember Ivor had a set of Dulcet Reference 3A speakers for sale earlier in the year. They might still be available, a very nice little stand mounted speaker.
NigeAmp, NigeSD DAC, Airtight ATM-4, Ruark Accolades, Pink Triangle TT, Roksan Artimiz, Clearaudio Discovery, Tom Evans Microgroove Plus, Fran DAC, Dalkey Audio Interconnects.

Thanks Derek, I nearly bought those of Ivor a while back but we never made the deal happen.
I am still intrigued by them, however I've never had the chance to try anything from Ref 3a so haven't the slightest idea how they would sound.
I'm guessing neutral enough.

yep, I still have the Dulcet Reference 3A speakers. They are neutral, they deliver a lot for what is a compact speaker. The Alphason stands pitch the tweeters at the right height. You can of course try them at your leisure if you wish. Give me a bit of notice though, they're in storage due to ongoing house move plans.
Vinyl -anything else is data storage.

Thorens TD124 Mk1 + Kuzma Stogi 12"arm, HANA Red, Gold Note PH 10 + PSU. ADI-2 Dac, Lector CDP7, Wyred4Sound pre, Airtight ATM1s, Klipsch Heresy IV, Misc Mains, RCA + XLR ICs, Tellurium Q spkr cable
