Advice on noise cancelling headphones please

Hi All,

A friend wants to buy some noise cancelling headphones. Any suggestions? No idea of price. I think the idea is to find out what it costs to get something good (up to say Euro 200).

My advise was ..
a) comfort
b) how well do they work at noise cancelling
c) sound-quality
d) battery life
