There's a tidy pair of Mission 770's for £150 here... http://www.gumtree.com/p/speakers/missi ... 1097562520

You might also consider these early Monitor Audio MA6s http://www.donedeal.ie/audioequipment-f ... 7?offset=4 which, with KEF woofers and Audax tweeters, sound different to their overly bright offerings of today.

i have a nait 2 (still need to get it serviced) and was looking at those monitor audio, also there are a pair of bang olufsen cx50 (thinking too small) and a pair of rogers ls4a (thinking they might be too boring not sure if will get a chance to listen first)...price wise they would be right (up to 200), standmounts...
I though there might be some gems hidden in some of the forum members attic.I never liked vintage gear but i visited somebody with a huge collection (used to think Fran had the only pair of stacked 57 in Ireland this guy had them too) and got a chance to listen to a pair of B&W 800 from the 80s that were brilliant and than 2 stacked pairs of acoustic research LST (looked really bad and old) but probably the best sounds I ever heard.

I reckon I know where you heard those LSTs, I heard them there too and I've been keeping an eye out for some every since!!

KLH models 6s have a magic to them - I've a pair but not selling them. They usually need some bit of maintenance though.
Do or do not, there is no try
