Looking for a particular piece

Post by Diapason »

When I was in France during the summer I listened a lot to a classical radio station in the car. At one point they played a piece I didn't know, for organ and orchestra with a very prominent piano part. Actually, the piano part was so prominent that I'm pretty sure there was a dialogue between organ and piano at some stage. It was nearly a concerto for both instruments. It was Romantic era stuff, sounded quite French (although you can never be sure) and it wasn't the Saint-Saens Symphony, it wasn't the Poulenc organ concerto, wasnt Guilmant's famous Sonata, I don't think it was Jongen either.

Any suggestions?

Yes, I actually stopped the car and tried to use Soundhound, but I couldn't get the offspring to quieten down long enough for the app to catch it. I can still listen to the recording in Soundhound, and it's mainly said daughter asking to go to a playground!
