Squeezbox -- unwanted random play

Post by james »

I have a Logitech Squeezbox that I control with an android tablet. Everything used to work great but I had to reset the tablet to factory default and reinstall the Logitech Squeezbox remore control app. Now I am basically getting random play when I select an album. Is there some setting I changed ?

Old system
Pick an album with track01 track02 track03 etc
select 'play track01' and it will play track01, track02, track03 etc in that order

New system
Pick an album with track01 track02 track03 etc
select 'play track01' and it will play track01, track05, track03, track10 etc in random order

PS I also installed the free Google 'Squeezer' app ...

Thanks for any suggestions ..

James, I could never get the Squeezebox to play the files in Track01, Track02,Track03 etc. order. Not until a computer crash required the downloading and re-installing of Exact Audio Copy. Whatever changes had taken place since I started using EAC, but any albums ripped subsequently played in Track01, Track02, Track03 etc. order. Normally this would not matter to me but for 'live' albums it is important that they are played in the order they are on the disk. I deleted and ripped, using the latest version of EAC, all the 'live' albums which solved the problem. Let us know how you get on.

Hi Rocker,
I got it fixed .. I had switched on 'shuffle play' [which I did not even know existed] when I hit this option when I was trying to look at how much power was left in the battery for my tablet. All this happened on the lower right hand corner of my Android tablet.
I got the answer by contacting the people I bought by NAS box from.
