Broadband without a landline??

Post by Rocker »

Is it possible to have broadband without a landline? If so, what data speed could be achieved? Thanks.
It's OK, if there is no bread I will eat cake.

Options depend on where you live and how much you are prepared to pay.

Two options immediately spring to mind... Satellite Broadband and there is a terrestrial method provided by a company called Imagine.

As with all options.. there are pluses and minuses, some links here..

Several other service providers as well, however if you have 3G on your mobile phone, you could use bluetooth on your laptop / tablet and just use your phone as a router / gateway instead of having dedicated broadband to the home.

As for speed........... well it all varies.

To be honest I am surprised at the number of providers currently out there.
