Is this cheating?

Post by Fran »

Hehe,

have a look at this, I wonder how many times this has happened. This takes rebranding to the limit!!

A quote from another site;
Amazing
The Oppo BDP83 retails for £500 in the UK
Lexicon stick the Oppo chassis in a Aluminium box and RRP is £3500
Thats a USD $4900 mark up.
Quote from the Lexicon website - There are no reviews for this product at this time.
I wonder why?
Theres another famous case of Goldmund doing something similar but I think int hat case they at least did some improvements!!

At least NuForce though are leaving the oppo branding on it and state that its their tuned version. I must research what ESS chip they are using. I know the 9018 in my DAC is very good sounding.

According to the Twisted Pair - ES9006 and ES9016 :)
www.Ciunas.biz
For Digital Audio playback that delivers WHERE the performers are on stage but more importantly WHY they are there.
