Forum rules
Note that Tir Na HiFi does not take any responsibility for transactions arranged or carried out here. It is up to the seller and buyer to check each other out! Please be sensible folks, and if there is something you think is wrong, let a mod know, OK?
To make it as clear as we can, here are some simple guidelines:
a) like any forum, the success of tirnahifi is entirely dependent on discussion. All members are encouraged to participate in discussion of music, hifi, etc.
b) tirnahifi is not designed to be, nor intended to be, a marketplace. Any member who uses the site merely for selling will be looked on suspiciously.
c) those members who choose to sell on the site should be aware that the mods do keep an eye on the stuff for sale, plus the demeanour of the seller. Sometimes we may lock/delete/ban a sales thread on this basis.
d) honesty is paramount in all selling transactions. Commercial sellers who label themselves as such are accepted at the discretion of the moderating team.
e) All ads have to include information about age, price, provenance, etc.
f) THE MODERATING TEAM RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY ADS AT THEIR DISCRETION.
g) Commercial sellers should approach any of the moderation team in advance of posting. First time commercial posts without moderator contact will be removed.

Any interest in an iPhone?
I've been rather kindly given an iPhone as an upgrade. If I keep it, it will soon be a broken/lost/drowned iPhone.

I'd be open to a swap of some sort, an RCM perhaps, but anything superfluous would be considered.
By the by, I'm in the market for a nice chair. Not necessarily as a swap but if anyone knows of an Eames chaise lounge, cheap or copied I'd be interested.

Re: Any interest in an iPhone?
Just to be clear, its not an original Le Corbusier!!!
In good condition, no damage or tears, looks like this:
Bought it several years ago, but it got very little use as it never just seemed to fit in any room we had.
Would be looking for around the €200 mark or so (original cost was ~€600)
Fran
PS - you're very welcome to have a look first and try it out - no obligation and you can have a listen too if you would like...

HaHa, someday I'll set my sights on an original, after the Type 57 Atlantique!
I'll see how I'm free next week, see how she sits...
At any rate, It'd be a chance to get that DAC to you.
And a listen would be great too ;-)

When you say RCM, do you mean a record cleaning machine, I have a Vpi hw16 that's not getting enough use(I'm too lazy too bring it out every time I put on an LP)
The whole place is a complete mess. Can't find anything. Right now I'm eating scrambled eggs, with a comb, from a shoe!
