WTB: Power Distribution Unit/Power Filter/Mains Conditioner

Post by Yamnick »

Hi Guys

I wanna buy equipment like in the title.

If You have for sale some simple PDU unit (13A, min. 4 gang, without any switches or lights), or some fancy (or not) power filter/mains conditioner - let me know via PM.

Demo requested before buying (filter/conditioner) - I've had few pieces of filters/conds previously at home and results was vary. Decent PDU can be a "blind shot".

What did you buy, if you don't mind me asking? I'd be interested to hear how you get on with it. Have you ever tried a mains regenerator?

Hiya

No, I never had mains reg, I stopped on a mains conditioner - and literally everyone stole something from my sound...

So, I found solution as simple as can be.

Industrial PDU unit - metal housing, internal + external earth wire (if You need this), 5 sockets, no fuses inside, no lights inside, no filters, no surge protections, simply nothing beside sockets, cables & air. Switch as photo shown.

Internal & external wired by 3x4mm2 industrial cable (multi core copper, PVC outer jacket, double shielded). MK 13A plug at the wall end, from the PDU end connection straight to the switch.

The only fancy thing I use is a Craig DeoxIT Gold G100L used on all connections point.

Finally - nothing wrong with sound ! Everything sounds live, open, dynamic, with good timing.

That PDU changes nothing in sound - and that's the point for me.
