Moth badged rewired Rega RB250 tonearm...

Post by Dowser »

Moth badged Rega RB250 - I bought this already modified, previous owner couldn't remember who did the original mods, which consisted of internal and external rewire, along with a check-up of the bearings.

I fitted it to an LP12, so replaced the external cable with a Cardas M-DIN-R socket as shown. This allows for a standard Linn type external cable to be fitted, making LP12 cable dressing easier - the solder you see on the plug pins have been removed (I ended up using litz flying leads in it's final incarnarion on my LP12), and a standard Linn lead (which I will include in this sale) fits straight on.

I also fitted an RB300 end stub and weight. Lastly, included are 2 2mm spacers to adjust VTA if needed. Works perfectly, zero play or stiction in bearings.

I never saw fit to re-wire it again internally - it sounded fantastic on my LP12, only being displaced by a Mission 774 recently.

I also have the latest Linn armboard with a Rega hole - it's drilled for fitment to a Sole subchassis - makes a great upgrade if you would like to try an RB on your Linn/Sole. Armboard is an extra €25 if required (note idiot drilling scratch...oops!).

€200.
