It was a few years ago: I used Ciaran Mooney who was recommended by Cloney's he does (or did) some of their installation work. He was great because he's an audiogeek himself so he's sympathetic to our needs, not completely uncomprehending as some electricians are. You're not going to get good work if they think what you want is nonsense! The price was reasonable, certainly by audio standards, but probably not as low as €200.

I'll tell you something, this good weather has been great for the power supply! I assume everyone has been out rather than sitting in contaminating my precious supply (!) but one way or the other, the sound has been fantastic.

If you think you're crazy now.... try this link
http://www.amquantumdesigns.com/apps/forums/
and see if anything is of interest. I haven't bought anything but one of the JPlay founders swears by the stuff. I think it's a bit like Bybee products but without the price tag.

I'll admit that as soon as I see "Quantum" in anything, I immediately expect bollocks. Should I read on?

Agreed ,confusion all round but here's Marcin's quote from JPlay forum.

QPS, 2x QPI, QPI Silver and QPI Gold on AV circuit, 2x Q-mini signature in circuit breaker, 4 q-cuffs behind duplexes. Next week I should have another QPS, few QPIs, Q-minis, Q-cuffs and Quantum Gold power cord. Everything I've tried so far is just mind blowing. Nothing else in my life as an audiophile has impressed me this much, for real. If you browse through Alan's timeline, you'll find my reports. But in a nutshell: no matter how good your power strip/conditioner and power cords are, Q will blow your mind anyway, revealing harmonic richness and pure tone. Oh and not only your audio system benefits from it, but everything that is plugged into AC, you name it. Even my fridge runs quiter and cools better, I'm not joking! How does it work, I have no idea, but it works damn good :)

The thing that makes alarm bells go off for me is when they say to install one at the main breaker, and then you can put a few more anywhere you like in the house, at the rate of 1 per 1000sq ft. Doesn't matter where you put them....

Right, we're back in Clever Little Clock territory.

I really hate the amount of BS in this hobby. It would be lovely to separate the real from the ludicrous.
