Good man Shane! A man of impeccable taste and then some :)
I was going to post the first one too! The Peel Session I haven't listened to yet so I'm looking forward to catching up later. Thanks for that!
What's the problem with posting the YouTube stuff? I click on the arrow icon on YouTube first. I then use the icon at the end of the top column here, select where I want to position it on the screen and then paste between the brackets. The next bit is the important one: you then get rid of everything to the left of the link code ie 6VsWQOLZGuA. In other words you only want to see the link code between the brackets. Hope that makes sense....

Aha! Cheers Dermot haven't been able to get it working since the upgrade - my own fault I know.
Anyway, enjoy!!
Judging by the vinyl collection behind him, this could have been recorded in your front room :-)

Worth getting just for the cover.
Opening track "Get it while you can" is incredible.
A lot of Soul, and R&B with a bit of Funk in there, but Blues at the heart of it all.
A wonderful horn section brings the album to life.
Dan Auerbach is all over this thing, producer, writer, musician etc, along with help from John Prine, Nick Lowe, Duane Eddy...
Gets to sound a bit Tom Jones'ish' on some tracks but I can forgive him for that.

Looks very interesting. As you say, for the cover alone!! From where?

I picked it up on CD in Golden Discs Newbridge, just trawling through the racks killing a few minutes, mind you, it's not the type of thing I expected to find there. You can get it on LP from them online (I just checked).
It's quite retro so-to-speak or authentic as we aficionados like to say.
Some of the arrangements aren't a million miles from Elvis '70's stuff.
But the influence of some of the guys that played with Elvis, Gene Chrisman, Bobby Woods, may have something to do with that.
