I liked these two performances; not the best that I have heard but good nonetheless.
What's Norrington's output like in general Fergus? There is a Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique CD by Norrington that I have my eye on.

I like it Dave but many don't....not that that can be much of a general guide as we like what we like. In general his textures are light and clean and his speeds brisk. That Berlioz would certainly be interesting....I would not have considered Norrington in that one....he just would not have crossed my mind. If you get it do let me know as I would genuinely be interested in thoughts on it.

Very Non-HiFi: RTE Lyric FM over the Sky HD box! Sound quality is not too bad (can't wait to hear the impact of the Young DAC on this) but I am enjoying the variety in program and discovering new stuff! Yay!

Mozart – Symphonies Nos. 39 & 41 [Norrington]....

Two more fine recordings of these two works; the final movement of the “Jupiter” was wonderful.

glad you enjoyed the performances Fergus. Do let us know what u think of the Scottish and Italian symphonies. These ones here surpass the HvK versions imho.
