Hard to believe the title track was played more-or-less hourly on MTV back in the day. Great stuff, Fran.

Yeah, I think on balance I prefer Chill Out (which is broadly similar in concept and execution) but I can't fault The Healer for introducing me to both JLH and Carlos Santana. Can't fault MTV either. Nice to think it was good once.

I have to revise. It's actually great album and nice production although the faux reverb gets annoying. Of course the track I remembered most was the title track and as I've never liked Santana (they're right up there with Foster & Allan in World music) all the other tracks are really good and the more 'stripped down' ones are classic JLH.Ivor wrote:It's an odd album.
