Re: New preamplifier (SPL Elector)

After more tests I found in my arsenal of diy cables a XLR to RCA signal cable. Connected between the Elector and my power amp I cannot perceive any background noise (exactly like when I use a RCA to RCA cable). So the initial issue is not due to the XLR output of the Elector. Most probably some incompatibility between pre and power amp when XLR are used on both sides. I will play more with my cables to understand if grounding the shell can help with that noise, but I am completely satisfied now.
So much satisfied that today I decided to complete the HIFI set up in the living room to its final configuration:
Turntable: Lenco L75S (heavily updated) with Goldring 2100.
Pre phono: Manley Chinook.
CD player: Lector CDP 0.6T.
DAC: Topping DX3Pro + with Fiio PS.
Preamp: SPL Elector.
Power amp: Norma Audio 8.7B
Speakers: Spendor A7
I can only say it is a long time I wanted to listen to music in this way.
Best
