I'll have to wait for your review on that Chromecast audio. :)

I was thinking as well, if I buy a good DAC, and just use some 'stupid' source to feed the signal, but the good DACs could be pricey.

all these devices will undoubtedly sound better with a better power supply, and an external
Hi Nige2000, I got that m20 today. Looks OK.

whats the budget?
probably not worth getting too elaborate

look for linear wall plug 5v
harder to find these days the markets flooded with cheap smps

there used to be a S2226ST By STONTRONICS that was good at 30euro cant see em anywhere now

Budget? Don't know, €20-30-50, as long as doing the job properly.

yea these are usually two li-ion cells regulated to 5v with battery power management
these are mass produced so their relatively inexpensive for what they are

back a few years ago we used anker branded ones to power operating system drives in audio pcs
with decent results

Sorry to bring that thread back, but I want to ask, if anyone can bring to my place or lend me for a few hours/day, a device with MQA capabilities, for a test run in my system?
Before I pull the trigger, and by one. :)
