I did a bit of digging as I had never heard of it. Thought it was French but turns out to be a German. Seems very Glenn Croft one man band operation but like Glenn has a really good reputation. The other comparison I would make would be to First Watt as his Class A amps seem similar.
None of that is a bad thing.

I ended up with a First Watt AlephJ after hearing Fran's in my system. Using a Conrad Johnson valve preamp with it and to my ears is a lovely combination.

Seem to be a few around secondhand on Hifishark so certainly attainable.

Hi My friend runs a dealership in Scotland called Hi Fi Gallery.
He says under no pressure that it would easily better the mastersound ph5 pre amp.
Mine is modified upwards with all capacitors replaced and using amperex bugle boy ecc83 and mullard M series ecc82.
So a different beast to the standard one.
Fran you have heard this and to be honest I find it hard how it can be improved realising everything can to some extent.
My son is driving over fir Xmas from Edinburgh and bringing one with him.
It will be an interesting exercise.
