Fixing CD metadata

Post by james »

I started ripping my CD's quite a while back using EAC (Exact Audio Copy) and at the time it often could not find the correct Album art. Nowadays I use dbPoweramp for ripping.

I have a number of CD's without album art. I could go back and re-rip them and/or try to scan the cover. However I have been looking at automatic solutions. I looked at 3 commercial programs that claim to fix this problem ..
Bliss https://www.blisshq.com/
Perfect Tunes https://www.dbpoweramp.com/perfecttunes.htm
SongKong http://www.jthink.net/songkong/

None of these programs was entirely satisfactory (I just tried the trial versions) so I eventually settled on using
Pickard https://picard.musicbrainz.org/
which has the great advantage of being free.

Mp3tag is a useful tool to add artwork or edit song titles etc. 100% manual though but excellent for single album use
