WOW!
That's not a TT. It's a monument to the record player!
I would like to have yor skills (and the tools) to make something of that level.

I feel so inadequate, I think I will bow out before I lose my sanity!

Not all my own work - but I do think the Lenco is a great base to work on. I do also think that it needs some work to get it to perform at a high level. The first of those things is the arm I reckon. Plinth is probably second.....

Re: Cheap isolation platform
I agree. When in Italy I was looking only for the S models because they have an arm better than the original (Jelco production if my memory doesn't fail). After having rebuilt the plinth and made new cables, I updated the driving wheel with a new one made by Audiosilente. I think that I spent less than 300 euros in total. Cartridge excluded, but King Crimson mat included 😁

Fran - a very impressive piece of engineering! Looks great and most importantly (I did hear it many years ago), it sounds even better.
I took on a Lenco project about 6 years ago. It is still working. Originally had a Rega arm but replaced that with a Roksan Nima unipivot arm. Have to do some further adjustments this winter.

Lenco L75 Self build, Roksan Nima tonearm, Benz MicroGlider SL, AudioResearch PH7 phono, Luxman SQ-38U Integrated (or a Wavac MD300b),
BlueSound Node 2i, Auralic Vega, AudioNote AN/E Speakers.

I think we might need to rename this thread to Lenco corner!

Re: Cheap isolation platform
Someone one day will have to write a book about how an underrated and modestly looking turntable became the subject of so many fascinating rebuild projects.

I hate to drag this back to earth, but I've just ordered one of those granite boards for the missus to use as a chopping board. Thanks for the heads up!
(I bought one for me too, just in case...)
