I originally bought those speakers when eldest was a toddler because the tweeters are covered. I'm glad I did now. Cat's not even allowed in the room if a record is playing, btw. He'd lose his mind at that.

Cats are great! But a cat jumping onto the turntable while it spins is always hair-raising! One might condone that as an expression of feline joie de vivre but casual vandalism is harder to take! Enjoy your cat!
