Finally have you heard that another Live triple Jimi set is being readied for release sometime in November I think. A little friend told me that. He was right! I already have other releases from that set but not the full set. Christmas can take a running jump 😊

Listening again tonight to Julien Baker’s remarkable debut album, Sprained Ankle. I have returned time and time again to this woman’s work over the past few years and my understanding of these songs - anguished, heartfelt, cathartic - grows deeper with every listen. There is an emotional intensity about her words which I find deeply powerful, and a feverish clamouring for redemption which makes me think of Judee Sill. An exceptional songwriter.
