WTD: streamer as endpoint for Roon

Open to any streamer that is listed as partner with Roon Labs.
Will also consider amp / streamer combo. Although nothing too fancy!

I have Pi2Design PI2AES ordered, coming in a few days, it's a HAT add on for RPi. So you can use RoPieee, Volumio and other RPi OSes.
That looked like the best price/perf combo, but there are some others, like HifiBerry Digi Pro+, Allo Digione, and "proper" expensive stuff like Sonore microRendu, sotm sms-200ultra, ...

I suggest starting with RPi and some HAT. Easy to setup, works with Roon, no noisy USB, excellent sound.

Thanks Hudo. I have ordered a Khadas Toneboard, which will connect to the USB out from the RPi 4.

USB out of Rpi, even v4, is not considered a good for audio, so consider adding some HAT add-on card like hifiberry+, digione or pi2aes
