Sad to hear that Hal Willner has died from Covid-19 related illness. He produced and helped so many great artists....

I was just about to post something myself... I'll just cut&paste what I posted on facebook.


With so much going on these days it may have been missed that Hal Willner also passed away yesterday from Covid-19 complications. As a producer and associate producer he was hovering around some of the greatest musicians and performers from the 1970s on.
For me he caught, and held, my attention with his touring tribute to Leonard Cohen "I'm your man" which brought together performers I could only ever dream of seeing under one roof, for one night. It was spectacular. RIP Hal.
