Wow, that's a LOT of tasty gear! I'd love to hear all of those Wilsons for starters.

As often happens the day wasn’t as good as it could have been.
Sunil and his wife were great hosts, food and desert was excellent
Small enough crowd attending.
Very nice setup at the shop, my first time there.

My gripes for the day – way too much talking and not enough music (with a caveat).
• Bill Voss from Technics seemed like a nice guy but just went on and on
• Garth Powell from AudioQuest (and there was another guy in the audience from AudioQuest) was basically an ass and just went on forever.
• There was some very frosty and argumentative, and too lengthy, discussions between some attendees and Ken Forsythe from MQA. I did actually learn something from his talk though.

The Wilson Audio Alexia IIs and Brinkmann setup sounded good. Unfortunately other than the speakers everything else in the chain was new to me so I can’t really comment on the Nyquist Mark II performance other than to say the overall system sounded good.
I was very impressed with the Wilson Audio Yvettes with the Technics turntable and ARC components. The Yvettes are the replacement to the Sophias which I used to have a pair of and I think they are clearly better than the Sophias were.

I don’t think there was one piece of music there that I would have played at home. At one stage there was a discussion about the future of the industry being 18 year olds, need to get them engaged, …….. and then straight into some esoteric jazz (which I hate)
Music choices just bummed us out and we left early without hearing the MSB and Wilson Audio Alexx which was a pity.

That sounds like a bit of a shame. I just can't understand why so many of these guys, marketing "experts" on the face of it, can't do better when it comes to actually demonstrating product to an interested and invested audience. What hope do they have with the rest of the world's music-lovers? Anyway, it's a well-trodden path at least.
