I'd say you'd be very lucky to find one of these in that condition, I've dealt with the Service Dept. in Krell a few tines before and have the same amp, what part are you looking for? Unlike the s500i which were built in US these were produced in China so parts might not be readily available, not sure how many years they are discontinued now.

Hi Pat
The right channel makes quiet noise which can be heard even when the amp is in standby mode. The volume level does not affect the noise level. I have conneceted pre out to external power amp and it was fine. I like this amp and want to keep it. I have also Krell s350a cd player. I am looking for some faulty unit with good right channel board. I hope to find one somewhere in Europe. What was your problem with s300i ?
Regards

You might get one for about €1K if you're patient, no probs with me and I like it too, mine does make the same noise too only in standby the odd time too but it hasn't bothered me, don't think it's a problem, there is a large 740VA transformer in these so I put it down to that, a friend bought one a while ago, must check with him and see if he's had same issue.

Mine's right channel also.

Pat let me know if you or your friend will decide to sell S300i. How would you compare Primare I30 to S300i ? Regards

Sure yeah, although I don't think either of us will part with it, he bought after auditioning mine, I think it's much better than the Primare which I found a but thin and in a different league, the Krell is inderrated imo, I think it betters the previous two integrated Krells, I tried a few other amps which cost around the €2.5K or more and lreferred the Krell with my speakers, all the best in your search, I'll kerep an eye out.
