I though I'd share with you my current fun project :p
After 11years of good service I decided to give my amp to a friend for a big rejuvenation project.
The amp is a Yaqin MC100B (already slightly customised by myself), and it was starting to produce a small humm in the speakers
Here are the mods done:
Review/Redo all soldering/cabling
Remove the Ultra Linear/Triode mode options (remove wiring and switches linked to it)
Remove the front input RCA & front input 0.6v/0.25v selector
Change all input voltage from 0.25v to 0.6v
Fit 2 x HT delays
Insert Green LEDs for HT Delays (in the front RCA holes) and a Red LED (for power) in the old selector hole
Fit new potentiometer (Alps Black Beauty)+shaft extender & new capacitors (Audyn True Copper Max)
Improve amp safety by upgrading the diode bridge rectifier circuit
