Getting part numbers wrong is like something I'd do

These type chips usually have 74 in the title

Still have Richards buffer to implement yet

Need a 374. Or two 74s. But the 374 will be easier to use for this
No worries and thanks. I was getting the 374 as linked in previous posts. Cheers. :)

Looks like new firmware, and new filters are on the horizon

My DAC now has potato flip flops and the isolators removed. Sounds really good.

Doubt we will see anything out of that for a while

anyone know what happened to Paul the moredamfilters guy

Like to compare analog filters to digital sometime

Hopefully get to do some 1121 stuff soon

I remember seeing schematics, diagrams, and pictures of this, but can't find them now. Can someone point me to them?

TIA!

There are some pics buried in this thread somewhere, by Nige.

I added a couple pics to my blog, and started an update to explain this last change.
Work in progress, take a few days to finish because I need to figure out what I did lol

Randy,

That is good and I can duplicate from your blog updates. With the SDTrans384, I need to confirm whether the LC245A at the output of the I2S lines is doing reclocking or is just a line driver. If it does reclocking too, then all I need to do is bypass the isolator chips.

MANY THANKS!!!!

Update... looking at the SN74LVC245A datasheet, I don't see a clock input, so this may be a good reclock point. Will check with Bunpei.

My other Soekris is fed via an Allo.com Kali reclocker on top of an RPi.

Nige, how did your experiments with a fixed-rate clock into the Soekris FPGA work out? AND weren't you trying the 1121 at some point?

i know I've been bad and made no progress, the amp building have been quite the distraction,
ive actually just received a new si514 to put on that soekris,
as i pretty much failed to get the fixed clock to work at least not stabile
i hope to revisit the fixed clock thing again

ive looked at the 1121 yesterday, so maybe ill do something soon

On the 1121 has anyone anywhere done any mods?
So far I've located the vref regs the mute transistors
On the digital side two regs I assume 1.2v and 3.3v
I see there a clock input lvds that goes direct to the +/- pads of the si514 I assume you just disconnect the power to the oscillator to enable external clocking

The fpga caps are so tiny I couldn't be bothered
Other than that it looks relatively simple to do

Ideas as always welcome
