Absolutely love Steve Earle, but his last couple of albums haven't inspired me at all! I've been stalling on this one for a while!

Same here, I liked them but didn't love them. This is a step up.

Saw jason Isbell in the Olympia on Friday night in the company of Claus and met up with Fran outside. All agreed it it was a great "no nonsense" gig with great songs played by consummate musicians.
