Electronica - what are you listening to?
Re: Electronica - what are you listening to?
Richard Devine's take on electronica has always impressed me. When I heard his first album my immediate reaction was 'Oh, another Aphex/Autechre clone'. How remiss of me! This is by turns dark and experimental with f#### up beats and weird scary sounds to keep me continually looking over my shoulder :-)

Wish this was out on vinyl so I could gaze at the starkly beautiful Elaine :-)She's a French experimental electronic musician in the mould of Pauline Oliveros. I'm assuming she's still alive as I know nothing about her except her beauty...

Listening to this properly for the first time since I got it and it's another magnificent 'drone' experience depicting exactly what you see on the cover - vast open spaces of the eternal mystery of the American roadways and their places of dead roads...
