Genious....love it, I know we are a long way from HiFi but AvE has some great videos on melting metals with a welder.

An amp with potential for repurposing in many ways 😊

These are on the other munich thread BT these amps have the LEDs shining through the front panel. They looked great.

Of course i didnt stop till i broke something
i was thinking it should have been more lively so i made sure the jump lead connections were better and used molegrips to hold the rod more securely

made a hell of a difference burnt holes straight though 3mm plate

full of enthusiasm i got a 4 mm rod and some 10mm plate
it usually takes a 200 amp welder to weld this gauge of stuff

and did weld it quite competently

after that i seen some swelling of a few cells ...... ooops .....

in hindsight it is not that surprising

anyway heres some expensive minutes of the sparks flying

im sure everyone now realises why dropping stuff on the battery pack and shorting the battery pack with wire is a really bad thing that could end up with a trip to A&E

Here's another idea for the LED shining through a background from my Bow ZZ-Eight CD player -

The front is made of darkened perspex. The effect is really good.
Probably too late now.
