Yes, I've used chelmer too and it worked out AOK. I also bought a set of KT88s one time from a shop in the UK, they did stuff for amps and it worked out AOK. Can't for the life of me remember the name though!!

You might like to try the Shuguang Black Treasure version , see review http://www.tnt-audio.com/accessories/sh ... 181_e.html . I accquired a pair of the KT88's and the performance is superb.

Can anybody tell me if the driver valve and input valve are equally affecting sound quality ?
My amp uses 1 X input and 2 X driver valves [all 6sn7's]
Is it worth, say, investing more € in the drivers as a matched pair and maybe less on the single input one ?
