SORTED Looking for Sonus Faber Electa Amator

Post by Maciej »

Hello,

I am looking for Sonus Faber Electa Amator ii in walnut either with or without original wooden / marble stands. The speakers have to be in good condition without the need of replacing drivers.

If there is any owners of the Electa’s here in Ireland please let me know by sending PM as I would like to ask few questions if possible?

Thanks in advance
Maciej

Hi Pat,

I think more likely only 1.
Mk2 model as there was Mk1 and 2 only

Correct me if I am wrong, but read about those guys a lot:)

It's a bit weird. Is in it? Day after I placed my add someone advertises the speakers i'am looking for....or am I being little bit over sensitive. Thanks for the link anyway. The price however is not what I'am ready to pay.

There was something on PFM about this type of stuff. Similar request as you Maciej. The guy posted the comms and you just had to read the first few lines to know it was dodgy. I was done for the first time ever on Ebay. Bought a cheap google chromecast before Xmas and wasn't too concerned it was taking a long time coming from China given the time of year. When I went looking the seller didn't exist any more. When I checked his feedback (lots of it) all was what appeared to be from China and all recent. Best of luck with your search I had the same worries when I bought my Jadis amp and that was from a shop but the guy couldn't be more forthcoming and was a gent to deal with. Thread carefully.

Lest anyone think I haven't advised Maciej already that there are better speakers out there for the money I have, and Tony I have a Chromecast 2 and a Chromecast Audio and brilliant they are too but why on earth would you import from China when they can be got so cheaply here anyway?

Actually, having never heard the Electa Amators, how do they stack up to modern speakers, especially from the SF stable?
