I bought my Airtight ATC pre-amp in Cloney Audio in 2009. I think it was €5000. A year later I got the ALPS RK 501 Potentiometer (volume control) upgrade, which cost €950. In 2014 I replaced the valves (four in all, sourced at considerable expense from Airtight). It replaced the Jadis JP30MC I'd been using for four years which I selected after auditioning a large number of preamps : bless Cloney's for their patience!
I love it, it sounds great, but lately I've been seeing another pre-amp which I've been getting along with rather well, and which includes a good headphone amp, a facility lacking on the Airtight. If I could a fair price for the Airtight then I would go ahead with other.
This pre-amp doesn't come up for sale that often, but I spotted one in the Netherlands on MyAudioShop. It's newer than mine and being offered for €4700. I'd be thinking of €3500. Anyone interested?

g) Commercial sellers should approach any of the moderation team in advance of posting. First time commercial posts without moderator contact will be removed.

hi ciaran there is a hifi dealer in enniskillen co fermanagh ardhowen hifi who uses the airtight 300b amp -he would be a very interested customer he is in our membership list here at tirna hifi (his friend reviewed the airtight 300b and his opinion was that the amp would benefit from a pre)
