Finally succumbed to the temptation! Mastered direct to disc and an initial listen sounded promising...
Also includes a lovely 4 page 12" book...Was €34.99, now €29.99...BTW it's a double.

I certainly will Dave. All I can say at this early stage is, it sounds very promising indeed.... Don't forget though, that AL was taken from various concerts, whereas LINY was a complete concert on the very first night of their NY gigs. They had just completed Morrison Hotel which was released a month after the gigs. So naturally enough they show off some of the MH songs - Roadhouse Blues, Ship of Fools, Peace Frog and Blue Sunday.

Thanks to Dave for the first one who also alerted me to the fact that it is,in fact, a double Lp, albeit at a ridiculous price :-) The second is Evan Camaniti's groups first album. They're called Barn Owl....The last one arrived this morning just as I was heading down to the capital (from Experimedia Records, up Akron way). The label owner (Jeremy Bible) even included a CD of his own music.....FREE :-)

Can I just say too that for once I refused point blank to fork out €89.00 (€85.00 in Freebird but it was gone...) for the vinyl edition of Brian Eno's new album. I bought the Barn Owl Lp instead which has a superior sleeve.Ridiculous :-( BTW I managed to get a full download of the album free! So Warp, up yours :-)

Today is Jimi day :-) I've checked the Tower/HMV sites and it seems that the long awaited Jimi Hendrix 'West Coast Coast Seattle Boy' is in the shops NOW. I'll be popping down to the local HMV later this evening to see what they have.As you already know it's coming out in different versions ie CD alone or CD/DVD box set, CD/DVD or DVD alone.Still no word from Philip on the Lp box set :-( Warning: For Jimi freaks only, methinks....
