Re: lekt player
hi JC, just tried different buffer sizes, today my onboard card works with size 128 frames, that's the first time it can work for this size, i think because i use win10 now (win7/8/8.1 never let it work, only 160, 224, 256, 352,...).
by theory small size must be better.
rebuilded 3 versions, try:
v3.55.5 128 ses2
v3.58.4 128
v3.59 128
code unchanged, only replaced some constant parameters, kept code structure the same as 256-frames versions.
try them and compare, sure 128 better than 256?

Re: lekt player
Neither of *ses2 or *128* builds stop immediately, no music.
Please do ses2 build for my soundcard.
From the rest, v3.59 256 is excellent - detailed, great treble and bass.
Please try fix v3.59 128 for my soundcard.

Re: lekt player
all 3 versions dont play. cmd exits itself
Re: lekt player
that's means size 128 can't play for your card, not sure, need do test with later versions. 128 much better for me, softness much improved, more refined.
rebuilded:
v3.55.6 256 ses2g (for goon-heaven, maybe it work)
v3.58.4 256 0CCh
v3.58.4 256 align32
ses2g code changed (but only before begining of render loop), maybe < ses2 a bit.

Brothers. prefer 3.58.4 0CCh bass over 3.59. 3.59 seems to overemphasis certain part of basslekt wrote: rebuilded:

Ses2g > ses2. More relax
Need more testing with algin32... Bass has focus here... Can feel more bass quantity. Softness same as recent versions

Actually all 3 new versions got more 'manly'
3.58.4 0CCh too manly. Piano notes too strong.

v3.58.4 xx have good code, can be improve more. very difficult work with protected memory, safety if keep Microsoft's code fragments , but much code, sound not clean.

3.58.4 0CCh sounds alright today. Maybe i misjudged earlier.lekt wrote:v3.58.4 xx have good code, can be improve more. very difficult work with protected memory, safety if keep Microsoft's code fragments , but much code, sound not clean.
Because softness isn't perfect. Sometimes PC sounds harder than norm.
Think that 3.58.4 weight is correct(or perfect?!) but sound not soft enough to carry the weight.
